The highlight of the event is a solemn procession, during which the statue of the Madonna is carried through the town's streets before being placed on a boat and taken out to sea. Accompanied by a fleet of festively decorated boats, this moving tradition reflects the town’s profound connection with the sea and its cultural heritage.
