Mazzeo, and then go down some steps to find yourself on the sandy beach of fine and white sand, typical of many beaches in Marina di Camerota. Calanca is the beach closest to the town center and is particularly appreciated for the quality of the waters and the shallow bottom. The route then continues up a dirt trail shaded by olive trees and other typical Mediterranean vegetation. Before reaching the coves, you will come across a tower that was once used to spot Saracen ships, now under restoration. It is called the "Tower of the Violets" for the many flowers that surround it. Continuing along the trail, you will find yourself among prickly pear plants, agave, aromatic myrtle bushes, and pine trees. There are also benches and cool areas where you can stop. Before reaching Capo Grosso beach, there are two sandy coves surrounded by rocks where you can swim in a breathtaking and at the same time peaceful setting. Immediately after Capo Grosso, through a marked trail, nestled between wild rocky cliffs, you reach the last two beaches: Cala d'Arconte and the bay of Porticello.
